About Doctor Provus

I hail from Chicago, but for the past two decades, the Bay Area has been my home. I completed my training and then worked at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California, at a busy Level 2 trauma center. During my time there, I honed my skills, tackling some of the most complex fractures that seemed unfixable and saving limbs that appeared unsalvageable. It has been my privilege to help patients regain their mobility, return to their jobs, and most importantly, reclaim their lives.

My wife, our son, and I fell in love with the mountains of Lake Tahoe. When the pandemic hit, like many others, I reflected on my life and where I wanted to be. It became clear to us that the mountains were calling. Three years ago, I had a lengthy conversation with Teton Orthopaedics about potential opportunities. Although there wasn't an opening for a fracture specialist then, I kept an eye out. When I saw the position posted, I knew it was fate. I reached out immediately, visited a few weeks later, and the rest, is history.

Being part of the Jackson and St. Johns Health community has far exceeded my expectations. Transitioning from a large corporate medical entity to this close-knit community has been a joy. The dedication and passion of everyone inside the building, from the cafeteria staff and environmental services to the nurses, doctors, and administrators, is truly inspiring. The positive energy and sense of community are palpable, and the feedback from our patients has been overwhelmingly positive. By keeping local patients and visitors close to their families, not only are we providing world class medical care but also a sense of comfort and belonging.
